Blue Scapular Devotion

On April 13, 2004, God the Father appeared to Chris Courtis at a prayer meeting in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and asked the world to have a devotion to His Fatherly Sacred Heart through the Blue Scapular. As He showed Chris a vision of the four images on the Blue Scapular, God the Father said, "My Fatherly Sacred Heart yearns to save humanity. It is for this reason that I hold out My Fatherly Sacred Heart, so that My little children may grab hold tightly to it."

Our Lady requested that just one hundred scapulars be made and distributed to persons who would wear them, pray the novena, and give a written testimony of their experience that would be submitted to the bishop. (God the Father has asked that the Blue Scapular be "approved by My Son’s Church")

One hundred scapulars were hand made, and the Blue Scapular Devotion was approved by Chris’ spiritual director on August 28, 2004.

In September 2004, the Blue Scapulars were distributed to 100 persons who agreed to pray the scapular novena*, and in May 2005, the results of the novenas were summarized and sent to the local bishop with a request for approval of the Blue Scapular. A second letter requesting approval was sent in October 2005. The bishop did not respond to the request and retired in July 2006.

In October 2007, a request for an appointment to speak with the current bishop about the messages was denied. A personal letter specifying the matter of the Blue Scapular was then sent to the bishop January 23, 2008. To date there has been no response.

*The instructions for praying the Blue Scapular Novena are designed to be printed on 8.5" x 14" paper.
