DESCRIPTION OF OUR MOTHER OF MERCY’S APPEARANCE TO CHRIS COURTIS in a public/private apparition January 6, 2006

Mother of Mercy appeared to Chris in the context of a prayer meeting and he described the apparition to the group as follows:

She appeared in light and on a cloud and she was holding the Child Jesus, like the picture of Mother of Mercy, very beautiful, just overwhelming. I stopped having daily apparitions on January 1, 2006 so it has been 4 or 5 days since I last saw her.

When she appeared, she said, “Praised be Jesus. Praised be God that I am here, for I am your loving, merciful mother, and I am thankful to be among you, and I am thankful to be with you and to be your mother.” And then, as I do with Our Lady, we pray together the Glory Be three times for the needs of everybody here. And then we pray for the unification of the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church, and that’s what you saw me do with Signs of the Cross.

And then she spoke about four secrets. They prophesy the end of the period of chastisement, but these four chastisements may not come. They are excruciating and very, very painful to Our Lady and her message for everyone was, “My dear child, please tell all my children this; dear children, pray, pray, pray!”

And then she showed me again the secrets and said that they could be alleviated. Our Lady is asking for everybody’s prayers so the secrets do not happen. Our Lady said she is hoping that through the Illumination of Souls that the final four chastisements, which are really bad, may not happen at all. She’s using the Illumination to correct this and also through the signs that she’s going to leave in Medjugorje. If we don’t repent after that, the secrets that I was given will come to pass.

Then she talked about abortion and asked that these innocent little lives be remembered at Mass and in our daily prayers. Then she touched a little bit more on the secrets and I thought, “Oh goodness, this is really getting bad, but then she smiled and she gave me great joy when she said that they may not happen, they may not occur.

And then she said that she loves everyone, and then she gave her usual departing words, “Now I shall depart. I shall bless you and I shall depart. As I make the Sign of the Cross, I shall depart but yet I shall always remain with you when, and especially when, you pray. As I make the Sign of the Cross I shall bless you and everything that you have with you and everything that you have on the altar, by the altar, under the altar in this room, and everything you have with you, including you yourselves, I am blessing and have blessed with my Son.” And she made the Sign of the Cross. Then she said, “I take your petitions into my heart, and I will present them to the throne of God and to my beloved little Jesus whom I hold in my arms.” And she blessed us in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.” And then she said,” Thank you for responding to my call. Now go, my dear little angel, in the great peace, love, and mercy of God Most High. Ad Deum.”

The public message was, “dear Children, pray, pray, pray!” and the ending where she blessed everyone. She also spoke about the Mother of Mercy Chaplet again before she left. That concludes the apparition.
